In August 2020, we became part of Scania Australia’s national network of authorised independent service dealers, bringing local Scania parts and service support to Newcastle and the Hunter Region.
What it means for Scania customers
Scania’s Newcastle branch on Enterprise Drive in Beresfield is closing and with our Beresfield location offering extended hours, multiple workshop bays and additional technicians, giving Scania operators more flexibility around servicing and repairs without having to travel outside the region, it’s a natural fit.
Our facility
We recently opened our purpose-built facility in Beresfield. Six workshop bays, a full team of technicians and apprentices, brake and chassis testing equipment, updated lubrication systems and a wash bay. The site also includes driver amenities, meals, hot and cold drinks, rest and shower facilities for operators waiting on their vehicles.
Extended hours and breakdown support
We operate from early morning through to late at night, Monday to Saturday. Out of hours emergency breakdown vehicles are also available for operators who need roadside support outside standard workshop times.
For transport operators, that kind of availability matters. Downtime costs money across the board, from deliveries to staff and customer commitments.
A family business built on truck experience
Trucksmart has been supporting truck operators from Beresfield since 1992. Founded by David Body, we have built our reputation on practical service, honest advice and a strong understanding of European trucks and the wider heavy vehicle industry.
By 2020, we have spent nearly three decades providing service and repairs across all makes of trucks, working with owner drivers, fleet operators and everyone in between. The Scania appointment is a natural next step. We look forward to embarking on this new chapter with Scania Australia.
